Thank you for your donation to JD Mentors Minimize

The Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois and its JD Mentors Program are offering three opportunities for pre-law undergraduate students and current law students who meet eligibility criteria.  The first two opportunities are scholarships that are intended to provide financial assistance to students for BAR Exam preparation courses and LSAT Preparation courses.  The third opportunity is a fellowship for law students who secure employment at a non-profit, government agency or public interest organization.

The HLAI/JDM & BARBRI Scholarship will provide post-graduation law students that secure legal or related employment with a government agency, a non-profit organization, or public interest agency with a $500 or $1000 scholarship to be applied toward a BARBRI preparation course.

The HLAI/JDM & Kaplan Scholarship will provide students that demonstrate a genuine interest in pursuing a legal career with a free Kaplan LSAT preparation course.

The HLAI/JDM Fellowship will provide law students with a summer stipend provided that they secure legal or related employment with a government agency, a non-profit organization, or public interest agency.

Congratulations to the 2008 Scholarship and Fellowship recipients!

Interested students are encouraged to check back in 2009 and apply for the HLAI/JDM Fellowship, HLAI/JDM BARBRI Scholarship, and HLAI/JDM Kaplan Scholarship.
